After a false start last weekend all teams will be in action on Saturday and looking to get off to a positive start in their respective grades. The Senior A side has Wairarapa's Red Star in a match that went down to the wire last year and should be another cracker this time around down the Donnelly this Saturday. Keegan Maclachlan comes back into the side and is a player worth watching this weekend.
Apart of the rep programme all wint Young Leg Spinning all-rounder Hemish Patel comes into the side and is a very promising Horowhenua College product with the potential to break into Senior A Cricket sooner rather than later. Randal Bartholomew is back in town for this weeks match too and the old head will bring some serious experience to the side.
Watch out for Dan Wilks with the ball this week, the club veteran continues to churn out top performances for the president's side week in week out and without doubt will be on a line and length early this weekend. Andrew Peacock comes into the side to make his debut for the club. Presidents again have Daniel Parker guiding a group of young guns through the ranks.
Stoked to have this really talented player in our club, first of many games to come for Deccas. The first Senior A side of the year has a familiar look to it, but with the addition of Matthew Good to bolster the batting lineup. The boys are fizzing for our first hit out against Kapiti Old Boys in the first round of the Coastal Challenge Cup for the season.
Could be a green deck for a game with two high quality seam attacks, look to new Horowhenua- Kapiti emerging players Rep Xitij Sakhalkar to continue his good early season form. Get down to the Don at 12 o'clock Saturday to check out the action.
